It is a very sad day in Boise or anywhere else when a police officer who is
sworn to protect and serve, that means protect and serve everyone, unholstsers
his weapon and shoots a 20 yr. old kid in the head. NO one has the right to
do that. The officer took Ryan away from his family his friends and everyone
who knew him. To say that their was no other way than to end his life in a
split second is a crime. No matter what Ryan did it did not warrant blowing
his head off. It is pathetic when a city Known around the nation and the
world as an excellent place to start and raise a family condones shooting
people in the street. I don't know wether the officers life was in danger or
not but I guarrantee that unless that is the standard of the police dept., to
shoot first and ask questions later, this wouldn't happen. This is the United
States of America. Not China. Not Russia. The United States!!!! What is worse
is the mayor of Boise, elected to his second term, backs the police up. Wake
up people if something isn't done then what next, what if it was your son or
friend gets gunned down. Something is very wrong when it sounds like a good
idea to have a police force to patrol the police. Ryans life shouldn't have
been taken but the officers badge should be.
